Chayote with Sesame seeds

Benguluru Vankaya Nuvvula Kura
Ingredients:
Chayote 1
Green chillies 2-4
Sesame Seeds 2-4 tbsps
Salt to taste
Talimpu:
Mustard seeds 1 tsp
Cumin seeds 1 tsp
Urad dal 2 tsps
Broken red chillies 4
Oil 1 tsbp
Method of preparation:
Wash and cut chayote into half.
Remove seed and chop chayote into 1 inch cubes.
Remove stems and wash green chillies.
Grind green chillies and sesame seeds into somewhat coarse paste using little water.
Heat oil in a pan, add all talimpu ingredients in order.
When seeds start to splutter, add chayote cubes and salt.
Cook covered in medium flame for 5 minutes or until the cubes are soft.
Then add the ground sesame paste and stir fry for a minute or two.
Serve hot with white rice.
Notes: Add curry leaves and hing in talimpu if you have.
