Coconut Raita

Pacchi Kobbari Perugu Pacchadi
Ingredients:
Fresh Scraped Coconut 1/2 cup
Plain Yogurt 1 cup
Green Chili 1
Turmeric Powder a small pinch
Salt to taste
Talimpu:
Urad Dal 1/4 tsp
Mustard Seeds 1/8 tsp
Cumin Seeds 1/8 tsp
Broken Red Chillies 2
Curry Leaves 2
Oil 1 tsp
Method of preparation:
Wash, remove stem and halve the green chili.
Blend together coconut and green chili into somewhat coarse paste using little water.
In a bowl, mix yogurt, above blended coconut green chili mixture, turmeric powder and salt thoroughly.
In a small pan, heat oil and add all talimpu ingredients.
When urad dal turns light brown, remove from heat and add this talimpu to above yogurt bowl.
Mix and serve with dosa, idly…
Notes: Add hing to talimpu if you have.
