Green Chiles 4
Chana Dal 1 tsp
Urad Dal 1/2 tsp
Mustard Seeds 1/2 tsp
Cumin Seeds 1/2 tsp
Red Chiles 3
Curry Leaves 4
Turmeric Powder a pinch
Oil 1 tbsp
Salt to taste
Method of preparation:
Remove stems, wash and finely chop green chillies.
Mash idly out of its shape with the hand or with spoon and keep aside.
Heat oil in a pan, add chana dal, urad dal, mustard seeds and cumin seeds.
Stir-fry for a moment and add green chillies, red chiles, curry leaves and salt.
When curry leaves turn little crisp, add mashed idly and turmeric powder.
Mix thoroughly without any big lumps and serve hot.
Notes: Add hing/asafoetida if you wish.
